Because of it's higher efficiency, this filter will catch more airborne particles than a lower MERV rated filter and it will get dirty sooner. As a filter gets dirty it's air resistance goes up and you will need to change it before it gets too restrictive for your air handling system. This filter will get dirty sooner and need to be changed more often than a lower MERV rated filter like our EZ-Pleat Plus MERV 11 or our EZ-Pleat MERV 8 filters. Not to be too long winded, unless you really need this higher MERV rating, you may want to go with one of the lower rated filters for better economy. Those lower rated filters cost less to buy and also will last longer in your system. A MERV 8 and a MERV 11 filter are both capable of catching many common airborne irritants like dusts, pollens and dander. If you really need a MERV 13 filter, this is a well made filter with independent lab test results to back up its performance claims. Sizes: We keep 21 different sizes in stock for prompt shipment.
