The construction quality is top of the line and is better than most retail brands. The filtering efficiency is also very good. EZ-Pleat utilizes electrostatically charged filter media with a pleat count of 16 pleats per foot. The EZ-Pleat has not cut any corners, and the pricing is favorable when compared to other brands. EZ-Pleat Merv 8 Air Filter is made for Home or Office A/C and heating systems. It captures and holds more pollens, dust, and dander than standard furnace filters or pleated HVAC filters. The efficiency is rated at MERV 8 and the EZ-Pleat has 14 pleats per foot giving you much more filter surface area than a flat panel filter (and more than most standard pleated filters). The filter frame is made of moisture resistant beverage board and is die-cut on both sides (not a pinch pleat or one sided frame like the cheap box store brands).
